Last birthday post. I think. Maybe. @stclairsocial_pgh does Fine Dining Weekends featuring special dishes that are a little fancier. Last weekend was Chicken Parm which has always been one of my favorite meals. I had to get it. I loved the tender and juicy chicken and the tasty sauce. But also St Clair Social is the best for cocktails. Featured are just a few of the many I had including an espresso martini, old fashioned and the featured drink of the night the AlexDrinksTooMuch.

It's been a busy and kinda crazy couple of days. So here's a delicious sandwich I ate at @mediterracafe a couple weeks ago. This is the Grilled Ham Parma Cotta and it was so good. I'm not a fan of ham, but this sandwich was amazing with thick slices of fresh mozzarella and pesto sauce. Definitely gonna need to hit up Mediterra for lunch more often.

𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀! 🥳🎉🎂🌯☕
Today is my birthday! This week I've been going thru all my promotional emails and rewards accounts finding all my free meals, meal discounts and free coffees. So far I've taken advantage of my free @mad_mex burrito (a delicious chicken fajita burrito), @dunkin drink (Americano) and @starbucks drink (pistachio latte). I still have @eatbig free entree, @wiglewhiskey & @threadbarecider discounts and so much more to use. Birthday freebies are definitely a great way save some money eating out. What good birthday freebies am I missing that I need to sign up for next year?

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗰𝗼 𝗧𝘂𝗲

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗰𝗼 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮
With tacos and queso I ate at @condadotacos in 2021. This was my first time at the South Hills Village location and they did a great job converting it from the old hibachi place. I needed a place to chill out and grab lunch after going to the eye doctor, having my eye dilated and basically unable to see in bright lights. Tacos, queso and margarita are a great way to kill some time.

𝙃𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧

𝙃𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 🥳🥳🥳
I ended last year the same way I started this year...with a healthy appetite. Last night, I went with a @pizzeriadavide New Yorker Deluxe with Pepperoni, some of their full wings and washed it down with a vintage 2019 @gristhouse Fire Fest Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. This morning I made a massive breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns, a bagel and some tomatoes with coffee.
I haven't been posting a ton lately. Just haven't felt like it. I'll get back into it soon. I hope in 2022 to more actively try new restaurants. I also plan to try to do more video. We'll see if any of that happens.

𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒏,

Before the holiday, I went to @stclairsocial_pgh for Southern Style Wednesday & trivia night. They feature a southern style BBQ menu by @scratchco_pgh and trivia by @radicaltrivia. I got the fried chicken, which had a GF breading and my brother got the chicken wings. We were doing great on trivia but blew it on the final question. I'll definitely be back another Wednesday so I can redeem myself on the trivia.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝗽 𝗨𝗽
Another year has gone by and I wrote another post about how my year went. It was an interesting year filled with staying home, getting vaccinated, leaving the house, getting surgery, staying home, and eventually going out again. So crazy! The link for that is in the bio.

I also went last weekend to the Christmas Vacation pop up at @spiritsandtalespgh in @theoaklanderhotel. This pop up had some fun drinks and some fun movie related photo spots. I love some do the creativity that went into this one. I still have another photo I think I'm going to post to my personal Instagram.

𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙚 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙁𝙪𝙣
One of the things I'd love to do more in 2022 is having meetups with more great foodies. Last week I met up at @federalgalley with a great crew of some of my longest Pittsburgh foodie friends @yinzhungry412, @discovertheburgh, @foodismysavior_pgh, @moscatoismymantra and @steeltownadv. I finally got to try @drivenpgh and their Detroit style pizza. I was a big fan of the Vodka Pie and Traci Pie. I also got the Truffle Tuna from @shakapgh. I can't wait to try more great food with great people in the upcoming year.

𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀! Last week I was

Last week I was at @squarecafepgh with @madeinpgh for a lovely brunch. I got the Lemon Berry Ricotta pancakes and drowned them in syrup. Square Cafe is a great brunch spot. Made in PGH provided atmosphere with some holiday themed goodies and mimosas. They also have lots of Pittsburgh themed swag for sale on their website.

𝙂𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖
I had lunch at @takotorta with @discovertheburgh last week. I've been meaning to get over to this new space for a while, mainly for the tortas. Years ago when @takopgh was offering tortas for lunch during the summer, I was there at least once a week for these delicious sandwiches. I even wrote about it on my blog back when I barely had any posts. Now I'm so glad this new @bakerysquarepgh location has tortas back on the menu. This one is the Cubana with ham, carnitas, jack cheese, dijonaise, pickle and slaw. It was fantastic. I can't wait to go back for more tortas.
