𝑻𝒖𝒕𝒖 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍!!!
It's kinda fun to say that dish name 😁
Tonight I picked up and made my @alleghenyeats meal kit from @casabrasilpgh. This dish is bean puree based with bacon and sausage. It was very savory and a little spicy with added chiles. It was delicious with the seasonal veggies and side of rice. I'll definitely need to try more from Casa Brasil soon! 
This was my second time using the Allegheny Eats service. Their mission is to help local restaurant workers, restaurants and farms through the purchase from participating restaurants of meal kits which are finished at home. Every purchase helps provide meals to restaurant workers in need and each kit uses locally sourced ingredients. Make sure to check out my making of Reel.

#Ad The @flashfoodinc app saved me so much money buying all this food at @gianteagle and I helped prevent food waste at the same time. Everything in front of me would normally have totaled over $40. Instead this was less than $20. I got pork ribs, lamb loin chops, stromboli, chicken parm and a box of produce that I've been using for meals all week. I have meals here for days with all the meat, produce and prepared foods I picked up that would have to be thrown out at the store in a day or two because of its sell by date. I'll definitely check the Flashfood app before I head to the store.

𝗛𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴!
I'm excited to say I'm working with @hearthpgh to promote their annual fundraiser event Hops for Hearth! Each general ticket to the virtual event comes with beer, snacks, door prize entry and a local beer passport. VIP level with more beer is available too. Ticket link is in the profile. As an organization in Allegheny County, Hearth provides safety and resources for women with children who are survivors of domestic violence or other trauma and experiencing homelessness. This event helps them raise funds and awareness for their organization. I'm very happy to be helping spread word about Hearth and this event.
𝗙𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝘁-𝗛 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝘁-𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲!
I got to try out @chefalekkapgh At-Home Food Service this week and it was fantastic. I recently got to meet @chef.alekka and started talking about a mutual appreciation for food. She asked me a little bit about what foods I enjoy and came up with a couple of cool things for me to try. I was super excited for this incredible Chicken Pot Pie with a buttery, flakey crust, large pieces of chicken and a hint of thyme. I also got a spicy grilled chicken and some orecchiette by @apinchofpgh. I can't wait to have more of these meals! Check out the @chefalekkapgh for more details of what is offered!
𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗙 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿...𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗵
I think for the first time on this Instagram I'm speechless. It's delicious. This @oakhillpgh "We're Gonna Need a Bigger Bun" cod fritter sandwich is insane. It's such a wild combination of flavors that I'm really struggling to describe it. Some bites I get the flavor of the fish from the fritters. Other bites I got the fennel, pepper and onion slaw. Some bites the fresh dill stands out. And even still some bites I get the old bay from the remoulade. I'm so glad @apinchofpgh gave me a heads up on this sandwich because it was an experience. I also got the bread pudding that looks amazing but I'm so full right now I need to wait to eat.
𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 - 𝗘𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗮 𝗢𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗻
Pizza is clearly one of my favorite foods. However, there are so many pizzas of Pittsburgh I've never really tried. @fiorispizzaria was one of those places until this week. The most I ever had was a small cheese slice. I ordered a large pepperoni and mushroom. I can see why people like this pizza so much. It has lots of cheese and a very sweet sauce.
𝙎𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙩! 𝙃𝙤𝙩 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙮!
[#sponsored] I love new opportunities to add some flavor to my meals. I got to try out this @redclayhotsauce Hot Honey on some meals like salmon and roasted carrots and some pizza. The Red Clay Hot Honey has a nice sweet flavor up front from the raw honey infused with apple cider vinegar and some heat on the back from a habanero pepper infusion. Definitely going to be putting this on many more dishes! #myredclay
𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗪 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀!
I'm a little slow on posting lately but these @stclairsocial_pgh wings from last Monday's wing night align with this Monday's wing night. These are the pomegranate bbq wings which were a little sweet yet bbq kick. I had them cooked to extra crispy. I also got their frozen penicillin cocktail which left me feeling pretty good afterwards.
𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗙𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗙𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻!
Fried food is the best! I might normally go for fried chicken but this time of year I make an exception. I ordered @jamisons_west_liberty this massive Deluxe Fish Sandwich with 2 hand breaded haddock fillets. Absolutely delicious! Crispy on the outside and flakey on the inside. I paired it with the Bacon Stix Mac & Cheese because even though I wanted fried fish, I can still eat meat on Fridays.
𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝑺 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒓
I wasn't going to just not post a nice dinner because I wasn't doing anything special tonight. I cooked a delmonico sous vide and then seared it on the cast iron. The steak was super flavorful and tender but I over seared it a little bit because it was thinner than I realized. I also made up some green beans and mashed potatoes as sides. I paired this with a pour of Blanton's.
